…Oh, hey, didn’t see you over there. Welcome to my substack. Some of you may know me as Soupbelly, the pop up cooking all over Atlanta the past 6 years, or the dumpling drop lady, or the dumpling workshop instructor, or occasional contributing writer.

*insert pic of woman being suffocated with the weight of various hats*

I’ve also been published in three different books over the years - Foodies of the World, Animal Liberation Now by the famous philosopher Peter Singer, and Fearless Innovation - What Unites Us. If you knew me longer than that, you probably found me through my now disabled soupbelly.com website, where I was a food blogger since 2008.

I have been contributing to the culinary scene in every possible way without the goal of a brick and mortar. And while the pop up setting was a great way for me to do that, and cook for the community without the overhead, it still came with risk, instability, stress, and eventual mental and physical breakdown. While I take my time to ponder whether Soupbelly has run it’s full course, needs to slow down, or something else entirely - this will be my outlet, and in a way going back to my roots of food blogging, but a bit different than before.

With all the knowledge and experience I’ve gained these past few years, starting a business, playing the social media game, improving my cooking techniques and in turn developing better recipes, friending fellow chefs, restaurant owners, food writers and influencers, I hope to add more value here by sharing what I’ve learned.
